We live in a remarkably diverse area that offers ample opportunities for outdoor experiences at public places. As our state slowly and progressively eases COVID-19 restrictions to access public places, many of us will venture off to places in the Salish Sea that we love and to do things we cherish —picnicking with your family or housemates at a local park, walking along the waterfront, go tide-pooling, building a sand creature, seeing the sunset, or just taking a deep breath outside - all while observing best practices to protect everyone’s public health.

For this We Are Puget Sound webinar we will explore and hear from several Puget Sounders about their Puget Sound experiences, connections, places they love, and how they share them with others. We will explore and enjoy this place we call home through their eyes and hearts.

We are also excited to tell you more about the We Are Puget Sound poster contest with the King County Library system. The contest will run from May 11th - June 12th and winners will be announced June 26. All nine winners (1,2, and 3rd place in three categories) will receive a free copy of We Are Puget Sound book and their artwork will be used and promoted in the coming year through the campaign. Let’s unleash our creative and artistic mind and soul!
